TUITION & PREPARATION

Tuition

 

  • Tuition for the 7 lessons is $800.


  • A $150 non-refundable deposit is due online at the time of registration.


  • The balance is due on the first day by cash or check (payable to Swim Safe WW, LLC with your child’s name on the memo line of the check).


  • A pool heat fee of $30 will also be collected for the host family - cash or check (payable to the host).


Lesson Preparation

 

  • Practice breath control at home in the bathtub


  • Take care of restroom before coming to minimize intrusion at the host’s home (quality swim diaper if needed)


  • Arrive on time (but not too early to distract from the lesson ahead of you)


  • Bring a towel and change of clothes


  • No flotation devices or goggles


  • No food or drink an hour before the lesson. No meat, no dairy (cheese, eggs, yogurt, etc.) 5 hours prior to a lesson. Applesauce (without sugar) is fine anytime.

Other Information

  

  • The session will consist of 7 lessons - 6 individual and 1 group

 

  • Lessons will be held in a residential pool - your pool, a neighbor or family member’s pool, word of mouth, etc.

 

  • Lessons will be held regardless of weather and will continue during the rain. In case of thunder and lightning, no one will be allowed in the pool until the storm passes.

 

  • Pool temperature will be around 92 degrees

 

  • Photographs and video are permitted

 

  • Please arrive just a few minutes prior to your lesson time and allow 10 minutes of instruction time for your child, although session time blocks may be longer. You should not be concerned about number of minutes but more importantly, the quality of instruction and final results.

 

  • Continuity is the key to success. It is helpful if the student is brought to the lesson by the same person each time, if possible.
